Review the product evidence
| Evidence area | Fields to request |
|---|---|
| Dimensions | Diameter, tolerance, construction and actual cross-section |
| Electrical | Resistance, length, temperature and conductivity basis |
| Mechanical | Condition, tensile/breaking results and elongation |
| Material and surface | Copper layer, interface, coating and inspection criteria |
| Traceability | Sample or lot identity, revision, date and report link |
Tie methods and limits to the result
Record the test method, specimen condition, measured value and applicable limit. Distinguish routine batch inspection from design qualification or a third-party sample test.
Confirm the standard and edition required by the contract. A standard mentioned in an old catalogue does not prove every product complies with every edition.
- Customer specification and applicable edition
- Sample identity and testing conditions
- Results and pass/fail basis
- Agreed treatment of deviations and changes
Check quality-system evidence separately
For a management-system certificate, verify holder, site, scope, validity and current status. For a laboratory report, verify the tested sample and the covered methods.
A general quality-control article does not confirm installed cameras, automated inspection or current certification at a particular factory. Request the current evidence rather than treating promotional descriptions as a record.
This guide supports initial specification review. Confirm current product data, availability and application acceptance for the exact conductor under consideration.
